August 6 Meeting Guests and Speaker

Honeoye Falls-Mendon Rotary Club member, Drew Moore, exchange student Emma Gardner and guest speaker Tom Grasso joined us today.  Tom is the President of the Canal Society of NY which studies NY canal history, including its effect on the life and economy of the State; educate the public and encourage preservation of canal records, relics, structures and sites; and help restore abandoned canals and historic vessels, including replicating their structures.

A million thanks to Drew who jumped in to sell raffle tickets and take attendance until Bill Taylor took over his responsibilities as attendance taker and ticket seller.  We started the meeting with a game of Human Bingo.  Winners Pam Wright, Lynn Freshman and Bill Taylor took home the prize of Godiva chocolates.
