As one of the country’s leading not-for-profit, professional theaters, Geva Theatre Center is Rochester’s flagship theatre company and the most attended regional theatre in New York State. Founded in 1972, Geva serves up to 160,000 patrons annually, including more than 16,000 students.  Geva’s productions are created and rehearsed in and for Rochester.  It draws upon the talents of the country’s top actors, directors, designers and writers who are shaping the American theater landscape. Geva Theater is one of the top 25 regional theaters for ticket sales and one of the largest subscriber bases in the country with about 10,000. The challenge for Geva has always been on the fundraising side. Unfortunately, they cannot survive on ticket sales alone. Even if they sold every ticket of inventory that they have, they would have to raise prices 25 percent in order to cover their operating expenses alone.

Mr. Parrish joined Geva in 2011. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation and is a member of Rochester Rotary.
