Every year, after the Election Night Pasta Supper, co-chairs Don Henderson and Pete Crooker select an individual who has demonstrated exemplary service at the event.  This year's recipient is Bob Vukosic.  Additionally, Bob volunteered to decorate the display cabinet in the library in February with Rotary paraphenalia.  He has already sent out emails asking for ideas and materials to put in the display cabinet.  Well done and thank you, Bob.

Dylan Brown shared his experience at his first District Foundation Brunch at Belhurst Castle. Key-note speaker was Melissa Pritchard.  Melissa studied abroad in England and Spain in her junior year. After graduation, she received an ambassadorial Scholarship and Barcelona Spain became her home for 10 years. In August 2013, Melissa decided to return home via bike as a solo cyclist. She pedaled 14 months, through 26 countries, in 4 continents, and has shared her experiences with school children along the way.  At the event, President Grace Soong accepted an award on behalf of Pittsford Rotary.

Today's guest speaker was Alice Swett, who spent this past July in the Democratic Republic of the Congo supporting a theater project with teenagers who were former soldiers, survivors of sexual abuse or street children.  She then spent a few days in Rwanda visiting the family of one of the former soldiers. Alice is a proud 1984 graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School.  She has spent her career as an educator focused primarily on civic engagement for positive social change, most recently with high school students through a program she managed for 16 years for the city of Boulder, Colorado. Alice is also a member of the Boulder Rotary Club.

Today's guests were Pete Crooker's better half, Jill Crooker, and Don Henderson's guest, Ron Fither.
