Our second meeting of the “new year” was Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the Fisher Room of the Pittsford Community Library.
 
We once again had our usual hot breakfast thanks to Lisa at 7:00AM and started the meeting around 7:30 AM, finishing around 8:30AM.
 
This week, 2016 Pittsford Mendon graduate Laramie Cole and her father Bradley were our special guests.  We presented Laramie the Pittsford Rotary 2016 Student Service Award and accompanying $1,000 grant.  We were also joined, by prospective member,  Matt Vahve (Whitt Merrill's guest).
 
Peter Brown updated us on the community golf scramble golf tourney August 8 at Victor Hills.  Remember to please sell your raffle tickets!  Woodcliff awaits the winner!
 
The Saints Place “Annual Super Sale” opens on Wednesday at 9:00AM.  Isabel Miller and her staff will need assistance from us on Saturday, July 16, from noon onward to staff a bucket brigade for goods not sold.  We circulated a sign-up sheet for volunteers.
 
Pres. Matt presented the emerging schedule of Rotary events for 2016-17.  
 
 
Last week, as our first speaker in the “No Place Like Home” series this month, Town of Pittsford Commissioner of Public Works Paul Schenkel spoke to preliminary Town of Pittsford community garden concepts.
 
This week, our second guest speaker, Rob Fromberger, PE, the Town Engineer for the Town of Pittsford, presented the East Avenue sidewalks proposal.
