Pat Mallery received an email the other day from Alysha Alani, former Sutherland Interact Club President and 2011 Pittsford Rotary Student Service Award recipient, now attending the University of Rochester.  Alysha wanted Pete to know that she recently attended a national GlobeMed conference at Northwestern to hear speakers such as Leymah Gbowee, a Liberian peace activist and winner of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize and meet undergrads from other chapters.  While there, she ran into Lizzie Krusch, former Mendon Interact Club President and 2012 Pittsford Rotary Student Service Award recipient, now at Columbia University.

GlobeMed is an organization of over 1,500 students at 50 universities who are working with partner organizations across four continents to improve the health of communities around the world.  It's good to know that these two Interact "super stars" are still committed to service above self.

Above is a photo of Rotary International World Headquarters taken by Alysha while on her trip.
